If families only stored a week or so worth of food…they are in trouble. When the back of the line finally gets in…if they do, the shelves will be empty.
With power outages, it’s also likely the credit/debit card systems will be down.
This also shows how unprepared the power companies are for out-of-the-norm weather.
Wind turbines froze, power surges caused blackouts. I read one woman’s house was 37 degrees with no indication of when the power is returning.
This should probably be pinned as a wake-up call to the rest of the country, to show just how fragile the system is.
