Israel Sees A Surge in Covid Cases Despite Vaccinating Nearly 60% of its Population

Israel’s Health Ministry has reinstated the indoor mask rule following an uptick in Covid-19 cases. This comes after schools in the Israeli cities of Modiin and Binyamina reported dozens of new cases. The country is seeing a sharp rise in infections with 227 new cases detected on June 24. Israel has been leading the way in the mass vaccinations with 57% of its population already inoculated with two shots.
