Unintentional Injuries have grown from 97860 in 1999 to 161374 in 2016, over a 60% increase. Deaths by stroke went down from 167k to 142k. Deaths by influenza and pneumonia went down from 63k to 51k.

So i would say there are way more death by accidents happening.
