NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio: “the time for warnings has passed. I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups.”

Mayor de Blasio’s remarks, addressing New York’s Jewish community in Williamsburg, came after large numbers of Orthodox Jews attended the funeral of Chaim Mertz, 73, a prominent rabbi who passed away from [or with?] Covid-19.

Not surprisingly, his announcement provoked a storm of outrage, and accusations of anti-Semitism.
