Police have been called to the Minneapolis intersection where George Floyd was killed last year, as gunshots rang out on the anniversary of his death. The intersection was turned into a memorial for Floyd after his death.
AP Journalist Philip Crowther was on the scene on Tuesday morning as shots echoed over the intersection. Bystanders ducked and fled, as dozens of shots were heard nearby.
We heard a few dozens sounds of what appear to have been shots fired on this block. Everyone sheltered in place. Lots of running. No apparent need for medics. Will update. pic.twitter.com/tpDY9etN8I
