Dear Twitter Overlords – Are we allowed to raise concerns about SARS-CoV-2 vaccine effectiveness?
Thanks in advance for your reply. robert.NYT: Singapore hits record daily number of Covid-19 cases, despite high vaccination rate.t.co/QfNe6zKSA1

Singapore has 85% of its population at least partially vaccinated, exactly the number “expert” Peter Hotez says would get us past COVID. They also have one of the world’s longest mask mandates.
Doesn’t look like they’ve gotten past it, does it?

Singapore has 5.9 million people, is 78% double vaccinated and has opened up. They are getting 3000+ cases a day. Over a year that’s heading towards 20% of the ENTIRE population getting Covid. Remind me again, what is the population of NSW? #auspol #singapore #covid19NSW pic.twitter.com/NYcjkCE9SJ

The Pfizer phase 3 trial resulted in a 0.8% absolute risk reduction for symptomatic Covid in a cohort representing the bulk of the population.
Can anyone explain how this could ever have had an effect on the epidemic curves, especially given viral evolution to other strains?
