South Dakota corn stocks in all positions on September 1, 2021 totaled 63.8 million bushels, down 43% from 2020, according to the USDA’s
National Agricultural Statistics Service. Of the total, 26.5 million bushels are stored on farms, down 54% from a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 37.3 million bushels, are down 33% from last year.
Soybeans stored in all positions totaled 17.7 million bushels, down 58% from last year. On-farm stocks are 4.80 million bushels, down 63% from a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 12.9 million bushels, are down 56% from 2020.
