Texas Counties to Declare State of Emergency Over Border Invasion

by Chris Black

Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador says he will host a summit in November with President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Lopez Obrador says the leaders will discuss commercial matters relating to the United States – Mexico – Canada agreement (USMCA).

The USMCA was negotiated by then-President Donald Trump’s administration and replaced the North American free trade agreement (NAFTA) in December 2019.

In a bilateral meeting next week with Biden – Lopez Obrador is expected to discuss matters relating to economic integration between the U.S. and Mexico, immigration among other issues.

Several TX counties will hold a press conference in Brackettville, Texas later today where they plan to declare an “invasion” at the border.

I’m told they plan to reference Article IV Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees states federal protection from invasion.

The press conference will be led by Kinney County, which has seen its local resources overwhelmed during this border crisis.

I’m told these counties hope Texas Governor Greg Abbott will follow suit with a declaration of invasion at the state level.
