The entire world will see the Blue Moon (Halloween) October 31st. The first time since 1944

Sharing is Caring!

OCTOBER 31ST, 2020

This year marks the first time a Halloween full moon has been visible in all time zones since 1944 — meaning every person around the world will experience the Halloween blue moon together for the first time since World War II.

October 31, 1944

The full moon that will be visible on Oct. 31 is called the blue moon because it’s the second full moon of the same month — following the harvest moon of Oct. 1 through Oct. 3. And in a rare treat, the 2020 Halloween full moon will be visible to the entire world, rather than just parts of it, for the first time since World War II.

From and including: Saturday, October 31, 2020
To, but not including Tuesday, November 3, 2020

Result: 3 days

October’s first full moon is the harvest moon on October 1, and the second full moon will occur on October 31.
