The Neocon Uniparty Asks for US Troops in Taiwan

by Chris Black

Oh boy, did that just get spicy in here!

I mean, a hot minute ago, Donny T. was running the show and we were all chatting about tariffs and stuff with China.

But now, we’re just straight-up flirting with the idea of a good old-fashioned war with them Chinese?

Yikes, talk about jumping from first to fifth gear!

I gotta ask, what’s the endgame here?

Are we trying to prove who has the bigger… military?

Or is this just a really intense game of “truth or dare” gone wrong?

RT:

US Congress would authorize a direct military confrontation with China if Beijing launched an attack against Taiwan, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul told Fox News on Friday evening. The Texas Republican representative was talking from Taipei during a three-day bipartisan delegation visit to the self-governing island.

American lawmakers would consent to putting boots on the ground if people in the US support the measure, McCaul said, without elaborating on how exactly such support would be measured. “If communist China invaded Taiwan, it would certainly be on the table and something that would be discussed by Congress and with the American people,” he said, adding that “if the American people support this, the Congress will follow.”

Okay, okay, okay… let me jog my memory here.

Wasn’t there a time when Trump was all like, “Let’s get the Koreas back together, y’all!” And then Kim Jong-un was like, “Sure, sounds good to me, buddy!”

But then Necon extraordinaire John Bolton rolled in like a wrecking ball, smashing that dream into a million tiny pieces.

And get this – there wasn’t even a good reason for it, other than ol’ Johnny boy’s love for world conflict.

I mean, seriously, why you gotta be such a buzzkill, John? Were you deprived of birthday cake as a child or something? Sheesh.

On a more serious note, the situation will be resolved peacefully or through a massive world war, but it will be resolved relatively soon.  I do have confidence that the people of Taiwan are not going to get bamboozled into war like the people of Ukraine were.

Following the Ukraine script, the Pentagon and State Department are now moving forward on furnishing Taiwan with billions of dollars’ worth of arms on top of the steady trickle of weapons the Biden Administration has already been sending.

The US has a backlog of over $12 billion dollars’ worth of weaponry earmarked to “Ukrainize” Taiwan combined with an anti-China disinformation campaign seeking to stoke jingoism.

This is a brazen provocation.

Prior to this foreign interloping, China was on track for peaceful reunification, now in the blink of an eye, we have Lindsay Graham stating he would support sending US troops to fight them over the island.

Taiwan is a free society and they have seen the living standards of the people of Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Ukraine following our “assistance” in liberating them from whatever our war mongers envisioned.

Washington D.C. really, really wants Taiwan to go to war with China and just like they were patient and persistence with Ukraine, our war mongers are not going to give up easily.

After all, we spend $ 800 + Billion dollars per year on our military so to justify continuation of those massive budgets we need constant war, and in the case of Taiwan we need a war in reserve in case Ukraine wises up and says no mas.

It’s no wonder that nonwestern world governments are turning away from the US now that there is an alternative available.

A foreign policy of building stuff in your country is more attractive than a foreign policy of blowing stuff up.
