Horrific Ukrainian losses there look irrational, but they are likely biding their time for another counter offensive using this more aggressive NATO supply.
The Russians need to be prepared to either cause a massive capitulation of the Ukrainian/NATO line (which risks overextension) or hold all the armor off.
In either case, get ready for anything, including the US ordering client states (Poland, Baltic states, etc) to formally enter the war.
