The True Meaning of Socialized Medicine

Under socialized health care, you are government property. The State may allow you some measure of proprietorship over your daily existence, in order to lull you into the sleepy compliance of the contented slave. But there is no doubt who holds the deed. Socialized or “single payer” medicine, a pillar of Marxist political philosophy, establishes the collectivization of the individual human being more clearly than any political structure imaginable — except compulsory government-regulated schooling.
Together, those two political transformations — government ownership of your spiritual development and your physical preservation — establish the firmest and most comprehensive foundations of tyranny. All the rest of progressivism’s panoply of hyper-regulation and micromanaging paternalism are mere baubles once the soul and body have been legally removed from individual and familial control — removed both symbolically and, as Charlie Gard’s unfortunate parents have just learned, removed in horrifyingly literal fact.

According to the reports, the family had private funding. This was a denial for them to use that private funding.

Government Medicine: Court Declares Child Should Die Rather Than Receive Privately-Funded Health Care

In a government-controlled healthcare system, the state determines who can receive treatment and when. This has long been admitted. But, what is less often discussed is that once a patient finds himself within a state-run healthcare facility, the state may deny him treatment — even if privately funded.
This was recently illustrated when Charlie Gard, a small child suffering from mitochondrial depletion syndrome, was denied privately-funded treament planned by his parents.

  2. As one who was killed by an Army OJT surgeon who cut off a simple polyp on my large intestine, perforated my intestine and I DIED from it after telling them numerous times I was going into septic shock I can tell you ALL about gubermint health care. If it was a private hospital I’d be a Millionaire. Vanderbilt Hospital brought me back to life and treated me for 3 weeks in intensive care.

Since then I have been being treated by the VA. For three years I had cancerous polyps. The last two I have had none. Now I git a colonoscopy every 10 years even though if I had a parent or grandparent have intestinal cancer it would be every 5 years, even though I died from it. LOL!

Also, since ALL my guts were taken out and washed off three times they cut the nerve to my pituitary gland and I only NOW have 85 on my Testosterone level while 350 is the absolute minimum. I only receive 6 mg patch instead of 8 mg because of the cost. However I can git a sex change operation for FREE and ALL the Estrogen patches I want and a pair of Double D’s thrown in. Who can complain about an offer like dat?

Your Gubermint Health care at work!
    .
PS: I can see the gubermint not funding extremely expensive life support with little future hope for improvement. The system is bankrupt. Supposedly the average American has a little less than 10 grand in health care spent on them a year while the average family of 4 or 5 makes between 40 to 50 thousand a year. The math doesn’t work. The entire system needs revamped or our entire economic system will collapse. It is screwed up though if the family obtained private funding as the article implied, and it was DENIED!
