Ukraine was losing a 1000 troops a day in Bakhmut, its since eased back to around a battalion a day = 500-600 troops. Ukraine loses 7 or 8 solders to every Russian killed. This is unsustainable simply because of Ukraine’s population, before the war Ukraine had a pop. of 38 million, its dropped down to 17 – 18 million. So they just don’t have the manpower to keep fighting indefinitely.
