60 Minutes journalist Bill Whitaker got the deepfake treatment on Sunday’s episode of the CBS series, which explored how artificial intelligence is now used to create fake but hyper-realistic pictures and videos about subjects.
“You may never have heard the term ‘synthetic media’… but our military, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies certainly have,” Whitaker said.
