I have lived in Texas for most of my life and I know that Texas is not prepared for a winter storm that will be slamming the region starting this weekend and lasting for nearly a week.
I was driving up and down the Dallas/Fort Worth area today and noticed the 1940/50’s rotted wooden power poles running power lines through the already frozen trees everywhere. Branches will be bringing them down from Dallas to Houston.
With temperatures reaching zero through half of Texas and forecast of 6 inches of snow/ice. It will knock out power for much of the State with no way for many people to get warm. It’s going to be a real crisis. It will take a long time to get the power restore to many.
