Why I am so bullish on Walmart (WMT)

by triplej9k

Walmart has recently announced it’s subscription service to compete with Amazon prime called Walmart+

Walmart+ aims to provide: same-day delivery, discounts on fuel, and early access to Walmart deals.

Not to mention, the cost of their subscription is annually cheaper than Amazon’s Prime.

Now, Amazon has been dominating the online retail space up to this point solely because of Prime 2-day shipping.

See, people pay for convenience.

We’re living in a society that wants everything on demand.

To Amazon, this is no secret.

Amazon currently has 175 fulfillment centers around the world and 75 are located in North America.

However, it will not be long before Walmart’s same-day delivery makes Amazon Prime look like snail mail.

Here’s why:

Walmart’s traditional brick and mortar locations all have the potential to become fulfillment centers.

Walmart has recently partnered with the eCommerce giant Shopify in an attempt to compete with amazon’s monopoly in the online retail space.

Walmart has over 4,000 potential fulfillment centers.

That’s over 20x as many fulfillment centers as amazon!

Walmart also claims to have locations within 10 miles of 90% of the U.S. population.

Because Walmart is so close to 90% of the population, 60 minute delivery times are not farfetched.

60-minute delivery will effectively conquer the online retail space and render Amazon Prime 2-day shipping, snail mail.

In time-sensitive/last-minute situations, Walmart’s same-day delivery is practical.

In real life, something always happens.

When it does, Walmart’s same-day delivery’s got our back.

Walmart is also entering health care.

Walmart not only aims to help people save money with their low prices on everyday items, but they’re also preparing to help people live better by stepping into the health care industry.
