WHY Would Bashar Assad Use NERVE GAS On His Own People AGAIN – Especially NOW?

by Pamela Williams
The town of Khan Sheikhoun in Syria’s northern Idib province has lost all control of its environment.  Assad’s military loaded planes at the Syrian airbase with most likely Sarin gas, and flew like vampires in the night to attack the sleeping Idib.  The United States Navy Intelligence tracked them on radar, and it has even been said Russia knew of this attack.

In 2013 Russia was awarded trust by the International community to see to it that Assad never used chemical weapons on his own people again.  The world had watched in horror as Assad abused his own people with these attacks.   Something had to be done, and the world did unite to do it.  There was so much confusion in the process, but Assad did agree to abide by a plan Russia had created.  Therefore, it was put upon Russia to be the steward of Assad.

The below was how the process ended:

  • Does Russia have the power to persuade the Assad government to hand over its chemical weapons? asks the Guardian’s diplomatic editor Julian Borger. Michael Elleman, senior fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, told him:

My concern is that the Russians don’t have that leverage on Assad. The other questions are how long is it going to take, will it involve just the weapons stockpile or the whole production programme, and who would maintain security while this process is under way?

  • Syrian president Bashar al-Assad has hinted at terrorist reprisals against western interests in the event of a US strike against his country, saying he could not rule out that chemical weapons might be used. In an interview with broadcaster Charlie Rose, Assad insisted there was “not a shred of evidence” that his own government was responsible for the recent chemical attacks inside Syria, but suggested there could be chilling “repercussions” elsewhere in the region if the US intervened. Syria’s state news agency has a full transcript of the interview.
  • Human Rights Watch has concluded that Syrian government forces were behind last month’s poison gas attack in Syria. It said it based the assessment on witness accounts, information on the likely source of the attacks, remnants of the weapons used and medical records of victims.

I wonder if Assad resented that control Russia had over him, although it seemed benign and helpful.  It is also to be questioned if Assad could have been paranoid of an alliance between the US and Russia, possibly shutting him out.  US Ambassador Nikki Haley had just announced that regime change in Syria was no longer a priority and the US focus would be ISIS.

Assad should have been relieved, as the Obama administration was intent on overthrowing him.  However, there were some who were afraid that Assad would go back to his old ways without fear of retaliation.  It is very difficult for humane people to understand such a person as Assad.  It is for me, and I have to admit the research I have done today has shocked me.  I should never allow myself to judge any circumstance with thorough research.

I know as I heard of the US strike on Syria last night, I was shocked and apprehensive of the situation the US was engaging in.  In the morning light, I decided I would get all the facts I could.

In another facet of this attack, Assad after dropping chemicals on his people, he proceeded to A few hours later, Syrian warplanes launched another airstrike on one of the medical clinics where victims of the first attack were being treated, the New York Times reports. Let that sink in for a moment: Bashar al-Assad gassed his own people, then bombed those desperately trying to save the lives of those suffering and dying from the chemicals.

The following has been recorded by the Syrian American Medical Society:

We are primarily funded by readers. Please subscribe and donate to support us!
  1. killed at least 74 people — including 16 women and 23 children
  2. wounded over 350
  3. Videos and photos taken by activists and medics on the scene showed victims choking and fainting, some with foam coming out of their mouths

The world reacted, and in that reaction Obama was remembered:
The European Union and President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an of Turkey have condemned the attack and blamed the Syrian government. European Union diplomatic chief Federica Mogherini said the Assad regime bears “primary responsibility” for the attack. France has called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, and the UN office responsible for chemical weapons is reportedly investigating the attack.
The White House condemned the attack as “heinous” and “reprehensible” and blamed the Obama administration for failing to be tougher on Assad.

“These heinous actions by the Bashar Assad regime are a consequence of the past administration’s weakness and irresolution,” press secretary Sean Spicer said. “President Obama said in 2012 that he would establish a ‘red line’ against the use of chemical weapons and then did nothing.”
We all remember Obama’s red line.
The former president failed to use force after Assad violated Obama’s self-declared “red line” and mounted a chemical attack near Damascus that killed roughly 1,000 people in 2013.
Obama also personally vetoed the advice of his entire national security team in 2012 and opted not to arm the moderate Syrian rebels when they were scoring significant battlefield wins against Assad.

President Trump has taken a strong lead in uniting the world against this type of atrocity.  Assad and Russia must take heed now and realize President Trump and his Team will not stand by and watch innocent people die, as a brutal dictator murders his own people.  Can you imagine not being able to close your eyes at night, fearing you will wake up to chemicals stifling and killing you and your family?

The below are the facts collected to inform all those, who are seeking  clarification as I am:

  1. According to Trump, the targeted airbase is the location the US intelligence community believes was used to launch Tuesday’s chemical attack.

In a statement from his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump defined the purpose of the strike somewhat narrowly: “Tonight, I ordered a targeted military strike on the airfield in Syria from where the chemical attack was launched. It is in the vital national security interest of the United States to prevent and deter the spread of chemical weapons.”

  1. The Pentagon’s initial assessment was that the strike severely damaged or destroyed Syrian aircraft and support infrastructure and equipment at the airfield. However, on Friday afternoon, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Syrian warplanes had taken off from that same airfield and launched airstrikes on countryside near Homs in Syria.
  2. The Pentagon informed Russia, the other big player in the Syrian war, of the strike in advance using its established “deconfliction channel” in an attempt to minimize Russian casualties.
  3. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday denounced the US strike as “aggression against a sovereign state in violation of the norms of international law.” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Putin believes the attack was done under a “trumped-up pretext,” according to Russian state-run news agency Sputnik.
  4. Moscow also announced that it would be strengthen Syria’s air defense systems as well as sending a warship to the eastern Mediterranean Sea near the area from which the two US destroyers launched the cruise missiles.
  5. Russia also said it was suspending an agreement that allows the US and Russia to coordinate their air operations in Syria so as to prevent accidental midair collisions between their aircraft.
  6. Top US lawmakers from both parties have signaled varying degrees of support for the strike. Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan deemed the strike “appropriate and just,” and Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called it “the right thing to do,” while calling for Trump to consult Congress about his strategy.

In conclusion, thus far, I support the above actions that President Trump and his Team have taken against a maniac and murderer, who does not have the right to destroy the lives of the Syrian people.  In fact, I had read that Assad was loved by many of the his people.  In saying that, you can see why one would question the horrific actions taken by Bashar Assad on the people of Syria.  What we must realize at this point is although Assad was elected by the Syrian people as President, they clearly were pressed to do so.  I pray they recover from this brutalization and go forward to find a better world awaiting them.  Hopefully our Country can help to bring this into fruition, as I see further actions taking place against Assad.
I know we have Russia to deal with, but they betrayed the world by failing to deal with Assad and his chemical weapons.  This attack has occurred under their watch.

  1. Far from being evidence, just conjecture. The culprits remain the same as they have been for centuries. They finance both sides of the conflict…

  2. I will wait for much more clear evidence that this attack was directed by the Assad forces. I’m still not convinced and quite frankly why are we assisting al queda and isis? The terrorist have much more to gain by this than Assad. Prior chemical attacks were proven to be false flags as well. So for me claiming isis did not have involvement is way too big of a leap for me to make. Show me the incontrovertible evidence now.

    • Our Military Intelligence watched the two planes load and fly from the base to the town and drop the chemicals. After that, the Russians sent in drones to check the village out. Then the same planes went to the medical facility treating the victims and bombed it. Do you think the two videos I posted are made up? You show me evidence Assad and Russia are good boys and are innocent. Would you actually sit here and dispute our Military that they watched this as it happened?

      • Does anyone remember Susan Rice and the Obama spying operation on Trump? Me either. If that doesn’t smell of deep state false flag time what the hell does? What do you think they all talk about on the Sunday shows now?

        • I know you are right…there, I was just hoping you were wrong, and I could prove somehow it wasn’t that way. If you are correct, we have no hope, and we will see nuclear or chemical warfare soon.

  3. The assumption that Assad did it doesn’t make any sense at all.
Just a day or two before, Trump had announced that he’s ok with keeping Assad in power. Why would Assad react by doing something that would very obviously change Trump’s mind?
And why would he use chemical weapons against his own people instead of against invading US backed terrorists?
And how can White Helmet “helpers” (actually propagandists) assume someone used Sarin gas and then wear gas masks and all, but touch bodies without gloves?
    Here’s what really happened:
Trump finally did the right thing and announced that he’s ok with keeping Assad in power, despite the fact that Assad provides Russia with access to the Mediterranean (which, along with an oil pipeline and Nuttyyahoo wanting to get rid of his neighbors, is what the whole conflict was about in the first place).
The warmongers in the US government and institutions (mostly the CIA and McCain) decided they can’t let peace happen, so they moved against it by using chemical weapons in Idlib and framing Assad (just like they did in 2013 and 2014. The “Assad did it” myth didn’t add up then [even the UN observers said so] and it doesn’t make sense now).
Trump took the bait (either because he fell for the propaganda op or because they compromised him – can’t tell which) and gave them what they wanted – an unprovoked attack of Syria and an end to peace negotiations, as well as the possible start of war with Russia.
It’s interesting to note warmongering terrorist McCain visited his ISIS buddies just before this happened. I’m pretty sure that visit came with instructions as well as the material needed to carry out his instructions to attack Idlib with chemical weapons.
Trump had better wake up, apologize for the unprovoked attack, tell the truth, and bring the CIA terrorists who actually did it to justice. If he doesn’t, he’s no different from Adolf Bush and Hitlery Clinton.

  4. I want to say that I am not the kind of person who refuses to learn, research, and admit I am wrong or right when I learn something I did not know. I am not against the truth, and that is what I am trying to learn. I am not against my own Country unless I know it is wrong. I believe the chemical weapons attack on the town in Syria did, in fact occur. I believe the people there are suffering greatly, and I do not believe that the US did the attack or that the attack did not occur. Assad has attacked his own people with chemical weapons in the past…look it up. In fact, 2013 the world came together to stop him and to destroy his weapons. Russia took responsibility to steward over him to make sure he destroyed those weapons. In fact, he did not. The Syrian airforce did in fact load chemical weapons that were stored there and dropped them on that town. The US Intelligence watched it happen, and watched Russian come in behind them with drones to check it out. We are looking into the fact that Russia is also guilty. After researching the past of Assad, I became convinced he is an evil maniac. Why don’t you put your self out there and post your theory and the good things you know about Assad here. Russian president Vladimir Putin confirmed that he spoke with US president Barack Obama on the sidelines of the G20 summit about a possible plan for Syria to give up its chemical weapons. Reuters has text of the Russian president’s remarks:
“Russia’s position … is well known – we are against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction of any kind – chemical and nuclear weapons,” Putin said.
“In the current circumstances in Syria this is really taking on special importance, and the U.S. president and I really did discuss it on the sidelines of the G20 summit.”
“By the way, this issue has repeatedly been discussed by both experts and politicians – the question of placing Syria’s chemical weapons under international control. I repeat, the U.S. president and I discussed this theme on the sidelines of the G20.”
“We agreed that we would step up this work, intensify it and instruct the (U.S) secretary of state and the Russian foreign minister to … enter into contact and together try to advance a solution to this question,” he said.

Syria Deeply flags a series of photos in the Atlantic around the 6 million displaced by war in Syria. Also today on Syria Deeply (whose founder, Lara Setrakian, interviewed US secretary of state John Kerry earlier today) is a Red Cross plea for access to those in need:
The Red Cross is pleading for access to the suffering, as they are sometimes blocked by fighting and other times by Syrian government restrictions.
“We are not simply getting the permission the way we want it from the authorities to go in,” said Magne Barth, head of the ICRC’s delegation in Syria. “We are unfortunately not able to do as much as we should.”
On Monday Syria Deeply ran an Alison Tahmizian Meuse story on displaced Syrians in Lebanon, where one in every four residents is now a refugee:
On the side of the highway in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, Mohammed, a 14-year-old Syrian boy, sells baby chickens. Dyed neon, they wait in a cage for new owners. They are only 500 Lebanese Lira ($0.33), commonly purchased as gifts for young children. If Mohammed is lucky, they will sell out of chicks by dusk and he will take home half the earnings, roughly $20, to feed his family.

    • Sorry – I have to go with who did it last time; Obama’s ‘rebels’, who were SUPPLIED the gas BY the US, through GB, down to Turkey. THAT was well-proven – but of course kept VERY QUIET.
And we ALL know Turkey’s position on Syria and Assad.
So I have to go with the “2 greatest threats to world peace today – Israel and the US” ~ White House analyst, as the culprits here.
The Death Toll from the Israel and the US’s phony 9/11 scheme is well over one million innocents. To think that the US military WOULDN’T ‘just sit and watch’ is beyond preposterous, especially when they KNOW they’re committing treason, aiding and abetting the enemy (ISIS).
      Finally, here’s what I believe;
This ‘attack’ was planned over 2 weeks ago, as evidence is now showing. This was NOT some spontaneous response.
Ivana’s husband, Mr.Jew, told his wife to tell her daddy that Israel was pissed that one of their jets – shot down while bombing civilian infrastructure inside Syrai (Act of War) (which they tried to lie about until Syria released photos of a downed Zion-Empire, US-supplied jet), so they lost face and wanted retaliation.
From location video I’ve watched, what APPEARS to be the case was that Syrian troops possibly hit an ISIS gas storage area, and being good US Democrat-schooled terrorists (‘Never let a tragedy go to waste’), hauled ass, let people die, then started screaming “ASSAD DID IT!”
Which controlled media and stupid Amerikans lapped up, because ‘everyone knows Assad and Putin are beasts, and Amerika is Great and Good.
I have sources who were 20-year + assets, who were stationed and deployed around the world, who are all now civilians who speak, everyday, all hours day and night, in 4 or 5 languages. They’re pretty damned efficient and knowledgeable, and know that of which they speak.
PS. The Guardian is an MI5 controlled media, like the CIA controls most Amerikan media.

        • Looks like I may be pretty close to correct;
“But a number of intelligence sources have made contradictory assessments, saying the preponderance of evidence suggests that Al Qaeda-affiliated rebels were at fault, either by orchestrating an intentional release of a chemical agent as a provocation or by possessing containers of poison gas that ruptured during a conventional
          bombing raid.
One intelligence source told me that the most likely scenario was a staged event by the rebels intended to force Trump to reverse a policy, announced only days earlier, that the U.S. government would no longer seek “regime change” in Syria and would focus on attacking the common enemy, Islamic terror groups that represent the core of the rebel forces.”

We are being mentally violated, and I am starting to feel spiritually raped at the hands of the Government. I am afraid that the whole world is in on this violation of our senses.

  5. Someone needs to put a muzzle on that rabid ****** Nikki Haley, Can she be any more blatant that she is as ignorant of facts as any talking head in the MSM. Also a short leash might be in order.
