Woodward: ‘Garbage’ Allegations From Intel Community – CIA Director Questioned on Fox News Sunday – Trump Calls out Brennan by name as Leaker

Sharing is Caring!

The Washington Post’s Bob Woodward defended President-elect Donald Trump on Fox News Sunday against the “garbage” allegations waged against the president-elect.
“That [BuzzFeed dossier] was a garbage document. It never should have been presented as part of an intelligence briefing. As you suggested, other channels have the White House counsel give it to Trump’s incoming White House counsel,” Woodward said.
Fox News host Chris Wallace asked Woodward his opinion of how the intelligence community handled the so-called Russian dossier against Trump.
Woodward said Trump’s point of view on the issue is often underreported and then scolded the CIA for their criticism of Trump.

It was a mistake as Bob Woodward says, but it was a well orchestrated mistake between the intelligence communities, the democrats, rinos and CNN:

The Trump Dossier Puts the Deep State in Deep Doo-Doo

Mr. Garfinkle of Garfinkle’s New Method Hebrew School in Milwaukee used to frequently echo King Solomon’s admonition; “There’s nothing new under the sun.” I was reminded of that this week when the rapidly unfolding “scandal” of Trump’s purported dealings with Russia hit the news. It has more than a few similarities with the Dan Rather faked-up story of GW Bush’s National Guard service where an anonymous, never-found source supposedly gave Bill Burkett a demonstrably fake report and Dan Rather ran with it. This time a Bush (Jeb) is involved but as an instigator of the story, not a victim. John McCain acts as the intermediary passing the junk on to the Intelligence Community, which makes sure it is published.
If you’re confused about it, let me put it in the context of the most reliable information I’ve been able to put together, noting that I think the story is likely to become even more clear over the next few days. As you will see, the dossier is so ridiculous, if anyone in the Intelligence Community fell for it, he’s too stupid to allow in place, and if no one did but they still played a role in publicizing it, everyone involved needs to be fired.

Very interesting interview.

Gingrich: Trump Should ‘Thoroughly Overhaul’ Incompetent Intelligence Community

Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” while discussing the unverified dossier about President-elect Donald Trump and Russia, former Speaker Newt Gingrich said Trump questions about the competence of the intelligence community are valid and he would recommend Trump “thoroughly overhaul the entire community.”

Trump rips CIA Director Brennan, suggests he may have leaked dossier

President-elect Trump slammed outgoing Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan, saying he did a poor job as the leader of the agency and suggesting he may have leaked the unverified dossier linking Trump to Russian intelligence.
“Oh really, couldn’t do much worse – just look at Syria (red line), Crimea, Ukraine and the build-up of Russian nukes. Not good! Was this the leaker of Fake News?” Trump tweeted.

*Updated* CIA Director John Brennan Attempts To Justify His Agency Leaks To Media – “Duping Delight”…
Woodward Skewers Bernstein – Bob Woodward Dismantles Propaganda of CNN and Carl Bernstein

Interestingly, today Bob Woodward separates his journalistic integrity from the corrupt bastardization of CNN and Carl Bernstein. Additionally, President Donald Trump thanks Woodward for his intellectual honesty.
BACKGROUND: Four political operatives at CNN (Jake Tapper, Jim Scuitto, Evan Perez and Carl Bernstein), colluded with two highly politicized top level Obama administration intelligence officials, ODNI John Brennan (James Clapper – correction is mine) and CIA Director John Brennan, under the auspices of leaks from “anonymous senior intelligence officials” – on the construct of Russian narrative to undermine the incoming presidency of Donald Trump.

Very interesting article on Woodward. I included the snippets from the article as it helps support what the authors at the Conservative Treehouse have been saying about the Washington Post being the mouthpiece of the CIA:

The eminent paper itself is steeped in intelligence connections. The Post’s owners, the Graham family, were aficionados of the apparatus and good friends of top spies such as longtime CIA Director Allen Dulles. Both the late publisher Philip Graham and Woodward’s boss and confidant, editor Ben Bradlee, had served in military intelligence during World War II.
“Journalists” too. Woodward’s Watergate reporting partner, Bernstein, later wrote about the remarkable extent of the CIA’s penetration of newsrooms, detailing numerous examples in a 1977 Rolling Stone article. As for the Post itself, Bernstein wrote: “When Newsweek was purchased by the Washington Post Company, publisher Philip L. Graham was informed by Agency officials that the CIA occasionally used the magazine for cover purposes, according to CIA sources. ‘It was widely known that Phil Graham was somebody you could get help from,’ said a former deputy director of the Agency. Some Newsweek correspondents and stringers continued to maintain covert ties with the Agency into the 1970s,CIA sources said.
“Information about Agency dealings with the Washington Post newspaper is extremely sketchy. According to CIA officials, some Post stringers have been CIA employees, but these officials say they do not know if anyone in the Post management was aware of the arrangements.”

This story of Christopher Steele and his dossier on Trump and Russia is as phony as it gets.
Steele, an ex-MI-6 officer now working as a private consultant, was commissioned for a large fee (said to have been £130,000) from a Republican opponent of Trump to dig some dirt out on Trump. My guess would be the extremely sleazy Ted Cruz who had more campaign funds than he knew what to do with.
After Trump won the nomination, payments were continued by a Democratic source. Gee, I wonder who? Perhaps a dishonest candidate who won the Democratic nomination with dirty tricks, who also had more campaign funds than could be used sensibly, and who proceeded to spend $1.2 billion on a failed campaign?
After Trump’s election, Mr. Steele is said to have continued his work for free because he “was so concerned.” Have you ever heard of such wealth-connected operators working for nothing? Out of concern? It’s the equivalent of a top corporate lawyer claiming he worked away on a brief out of pure concern. It just does not happen. It is preposterous.
The public can be so gullible about such matters simply because most of people are honest, and security service people, including former ones earning big livings on commissions from sleazy politicians, are anything but. Many of them are even borderline psychopaths who enjoy throwing monkey wrenches into things, especially when they are paid handsomely for doing so.
Steele’s information supposedly came from “solid gold” contacts in Russia, but please remember that the politics of any large country includes wealthy or influential enemies of its current government. Would it be hard to find such people in America if you were inquiring about the Clintons or Obama? It would not. Such a statement about sources tells us precisely nothing, and we have no supporting evidence at all for this silly dossier just as we had no evidence for claims of Russia’s hacking the DNC.
Steele is said to have given information to MI6 and to have cut his communication with the FBI, to whom he had earlier supplied it, out of frustration with their inaction sometime before the election. Finally, he is said to have turned to the press, to the American magazine, Mother Jones.
For those who don’t know, Mother Jones is a kind of slushily-progressive publication in part supported by a foundation. It is almost certainly one of many publications secretly subsidized by CIA. Virtually any liberal or progressive publication in the United States since the Cold War has been secretly subsidized by them.
Such support arrangements are not even always even known to a magazine’s management. CIA used to secretly finance many progressive publications in the US, such as the old Saturday Review of Literature. It gathered information from them and used them for planting stories.
Other publications, such as those of the former Time-Life, were associated secretly to CIA through family ownership connections, in that case, Henry Luce. It was no accident when Time-Life immediately bought the Zapruder film of Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, and it was kept out of the public domain for years with suggestions, when it finally did surface, of expert editing.
So, we come around full circle back to the CIA associated with some of the original phony stuff about Trump, undoubtedly manufactured under Obama’s direction. This is what they do. They did it for the First Gulf War. They did it for the invasion of Iraq. They did it for the horrors in Syria. More than half a century later, they still are lying about the assassination of a president, as well as a host of other matters.
Please remember that much of what security services, such as MI6 or CIA, do is foment trouble for others, manufacture documents, and create deliberate confusion and dark operations. They are not harmless information collection agencies.
Steele is not some honest information broker handing over his findings a bit late. That is a completely disingenuous, and an unquestionably contrived, description of what has happened with this dossier.
The description plays to the publicity-created image much of the public have of security services like MI6 or CIA being honest public servants. They are not. They have never been. They were not created to be.
The reality is something far closer to a dirty trickster doing what dirty tricksters do, and for big pay.
Why else has Steele run away into the night?

    • I doubt Mr Steele actually exists….let alone did it for no pay but ‘out of concern’…..anyway…BBC showed a house supposedly the residence of Mr Steele…..my, he’s done well for himself…..some City Bankers would be envious of his property….also one of his ‘former’ colleagues rekindled some ‘fond’ memories of Mr Steele….describing him as a “James Bond” type character….well I nearly choked on my dinner when that was broadcast on BBC news….James Bond my arse
