Priceless – Watching a bunch of thugs who think they can destroy society get rounded up and tossed in jail.
Approximately 500 people were arrested, about 160 vehicles were towed and six firearms were recovered during a massive law enforcement operation targeting a street takeover near Gardena early Saturday morning, according to updated information from the Los Angeles Police Department.
The operation unfolded around Figueroa Street and Alondra Boulevard beginning early September 5, 2026, after law enforcement moved in on a large gathering of vehicles and spectators.
Video from the scene showed more than 100 vehicles and numerous spectators corralled in the area as officers made arrests and tow trucks began removing vehicles. Nearby home surveillance video also captured members of the crowd attempting to hide or leave the area as the operation unfolded.
According to LAPD’s updated figures released Sunday morning, approximately 500 arrests were made, about 160 vehicles were towed and six guns were located.
One black BMW, covered in white powder from a fire extinguisher, was nearly set on fire by members of the crowd in an apparent attempt to prevent it from being trapped at the scene. Officers extinguished the flames before the vehicle became fully engulfed.
Parents were later seen arriving to pick up their children, some of whom were holding citations.
Personnel from LAPD, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol were observed at the scene. Individuals wearing Homeland Security Investigations markings were also seen in the area. Their specific role in the operation was not immediately clear.
Drones were also used during the operation.
