3 Fully Vaccinated People Catch Covid-19 Coronavirus. 4th comes down with B117 variant…. Pakistani PM Imran Khan tests positive for COVID-19 two days after getting vaccine

Nothing in life is perfect, with the possible exception of avocado toast. While the Covid-19 vaccines may protect you against Covid-19, their protection is not perfect. Even after getting vaccinated , you can still catch the virus. You can still get Covid-19.

Case in point. Or rather three cases in point. According to the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH), three people in Hawaii who had received both doses of either the Moderna or the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine subsequently tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus. Additionally, a fourth person who had received the first of two doses of the vaccine ended up catching the B.1.1.7 variant of the severe acute respiratory respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2). That be a more contagious version of the SARS-CoV2.

The following KHON2 News report further described what happened:

Pakistan’s prime minister, cricket legend Imran Khan, has tested positive for COVID-19 — two days after getting his first dose of the vaccine, officials announced.

The 68-year-old leader was “in good health” with a mild cough and fever and was self-isolating at home, his special assistant on health, Dr. Faisal Sultan, said in announcing the infection on Saturday.

The premier’s wife and two senior members of his Tehreek-e-Insaf (Justice) Party also tested positive, Sultan announced Sunday.

Khan — who regularly attended gatherings without wearing a mask — had just had his first vaccine shot on Thursday.

7th update on Adverse Reactions to Covid Vaccines released by UK Government

he UK Government have released their seventh report highlighting adverse reactions to both the Pfizer / BioNTech and Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccines that have occurred since the roll-out began on the 8th December 2020 and yet again it does not make for pleasant reading.

The report has collated data inputted up to the 7th March via the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme. At this point an estimated 10.9 million first doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and 11.7 million doses of the Oxford University/AstraZeneca vaccine, had been administered, and around one million second doses, mostly the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, had been administered.

You may remember the earlier report we brought you back at the beginning of February 2021 which covered the first released report by the Government highlighting adverse reactions to the Covid vaccines, using data inputted to the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme up to the 24th January.

Back then there had been 5.4 million first doses of the Pfier/BioNTech jab administered and 1.5 million first doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab administered, and around 0.5 million second doses administered, with most of these being the Pfizer jab.

There had at this point, up to the 24th January been 49,472 adverse reactions to the Pfizer vaccine and 21,032 adverse reactions to the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine reported to the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme, with the rate of adverse reactions occurring equating to 1 in every 333 people.
