I just got back from my daughter’s choir concert and I’m a little infuriated. I’m a little fired up about something that happened tonight.
First of all, I was really excited to have a choir concert, in person, after the last year and a half that we’ve had.
Plus, my daughters are a senior an a freshman. This is the first time they are literally going to be sharing the stage singing together in several years. So I was very, very excited about this night.
The choir director asked me if I would handle ticket sales at the door. I of course obliged and said yes absolutely. So no problem.
I’m working the table, and I notice this (Glenbard South) alum who graduated a couple of years ago walked in with his grandparents and his mother.
I remember him being kind of a conservative asshole back then.
Grandpa and grandma show up and they aren’t wearing masks.
And I’m like, mmmm, we have a mask mandate here in the state of Illinois. An indoor mask mandate. And I’m like, am I going to have to f*cking throw down with this b*tch.
