This is not a huge surprise for anyone really.
The usual suspects led by Bob Mendez and Elizabeth Warren, are calling on the departments of the Treasury and Justice to take action after credit card companies’ refusal to track gun purchases.
After Visa and Mastercard announced last year that they would track gun purchases through a joint letter, Warren and Mendez asked the Treasury and the DOJ to intervene by providing guidance for card companies to adopt the new MCC to track gun purchases.
