Billions left Binance hot wallets today starting around 20:24 UTC. On-chain trackers put the total between $3.5 billion on Ethereum alone and $5.5–5.8 billion across Ethereum, Bitcoin and Tron. Assets moved to fresh addresses, some linked to Tornado Cash. Tether froze over $1.5 billion in USDT. Circle froze about $800 million in USDC. Binance co-CEO Yi He said the firm is investigating a potential security issue and paused withdrawals. Founder Changpeng Zhao said it looks like a hack and expects user funds to be fully covered. Bitcoin dropped under $79,000. Liquidations hit $628 million in one hour.The February 21, 2025 Bybit breach took $1.5 billion in Ethereum from a cold wallet. FBI attributed it to North Korea’s TraderTraitor/Lazarus group. That was the previous record.

Well, another $780M USDC has now been confirmed moving from a THIRD Binance hot wallet to the exact same address.
We’re now talking about $5.62 BILLION.
