Family confirmed her death in a statement calling her an “incredible light.”
She was found unresponsive at a Greenville apartment on August 16 after an acquaintance called 911.
First responders gave advanced cardiac life support including CPR, medicines and breathing support.
She was pronounced dead at the scene around 2:32 p.m.
Dispatch audio referenced overdose and cardiac arrest.
Police say the preliminary probe shows no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances.
An autopsy is pending. Official cause has not been released.
She had spoken openly about addiction, postpartum depression and recovery in her May 2026 memoir.
