If she’s in, he’s out.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) told CNN anchor Jake Tapper he will not run for president in 2028 if former Vice President Kamala Harris decides to try again. The liberal governor dished the revelation on Monday while he and Tapper were recorded fly fishing together in Montana — and it appeared to mildly stun the news host.
“I wouldn’t run if she ran,” Newsom said.
Tapper turned to the gov while holding his poll in the air and confirmed, “If she runs, you will not?”
Newsom acted like it was obvious he should bow out if Harris opts to run.
