As of Wed. Jan. 2nd, 2019, it was reported that China “successfully” launched their robotic spacecraft, Chang’e-4, on the far side of the moon. This is said to be the “first ever such attempt and landing.”
This is also seen as a “major milestone in space exploration” — Especially since we’re told that the last crewed landing “on the moon” was Apollo 17 back in 1972.
