Revenue growth slows dramatically for Anthropic — AI bubble starting to pop. IPO valuation for Anthropic scaled back.

Anthropic told prospective IPO investors at a San Francisco meeting Wednesday that third-quarter revenue reached $16.8 billion, up 45 percent from the second quarter’s $11.6 billion. The company said it was profitable on an adjusted basis. Sequential growth slowed sharply after revenue more than doubled from the first to the second quarter. Some current and prospective investors discussed a valuation around $1.5 trillion for the planned November listing, down from earlier expectations near $2 trillion. Anthropic’s last private valuation was $965 billion in May after a $65 billion round. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are leading the offering. The company has roughly $518 billion in long-term compute commitments.
