The rouble added nearly 2% on the day to 81.70 to the dollar. It strengthened 2.7% to trade at 89.10 versus the euro, near levels seen before Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24.

This follows the EU threatening to sanction Hungary just because they re-elected Orban
Czech foreign minister said he was "not satisfied with the election’s result." Finnish MEP: "These are totalitarian authoritarian regimes and Orbán seems to be willing to be part of that."
