No running water in Jackson. The heat index is 102 degrees. Schools and universities are closed. No way to cook, clean, bathe. This is capital city, and the biggest city in Mississippi. #jxnwatercrisis

Keep voting for republicans and eventually MS can be last in everything. Or at least be proudly neck and neck with KY for the bottom spot.

The city of Jackson is Democrat controlled and has been for many years. They own/operate/maintain the water system. I’m not saying that matters, but the facts matter.

I am in Jackson at least once a week. The city has been democrat led for at least 30 years.

The whole problem is rooted in racism. White people moved out when Jackson started electing black leaders. Tax base dwindles, and things get pushed off. And now Nolan is gonna blame the Democrats. State needs to fund Everybody not just the wealthy

White flight in the 70s and 80s created a hyperBlack Jackson and now they want it back, but we not going so they trying to kill us off slow and sho’. They just hit fast forward with this flood tbh. 🤷🏾♂️

Amazing how bad the reporting is on this.
No root cause defined and explained. No interview with a technical expert that pins down the critical issue.
No definitive statements on whether water will be still supplied, potable or not, for the flushing of toilets.
Hell, they don’t even pin it down to a failure of the fresh water or Sanitary treatment facilities.

Unless I missed it somewhere.
Just that they got a lot of rain, rendering everything “bad”.
They don’t identify how help can even be provided by other cities or companies that might have the replacement components they might need.
Do they just need a water intake pump for the fresh water system? Do they need more sewer pumps?
Did the sewer plants get flooded and contaminate the water intakes for the freshwater system?
Did the flooding short out an electrical substation?
America is GONE. Mankind crawled out of the ooze generations ago, built a great civilization. And now it descends back into the ooze.
