Business Secretary: ‘There’s absolutely no question of the lights going out”

The Business Secretary has said the energy price cap will remain in place over the winter. Kwasi Kwarteng was speaking in the Commons after he chaired crisis talks with industry figures over fears many could go under due to soaring wholesale gas prices. He told MPs the measure “protects millions of consumers”, reiterating “the need for us all to prioritise consumers”.
