Kara Swisher threatens to quit CNN.

Kara Swisher declared on the Tuesday episode of her Pivot podcast that she was leaving CNN as soon as legally possible following Paramount’s merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent company, getting a green light as blue states settled their lawsuit trying to block the deal.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) announced the settlement, which would allow the $111 billion mega-merger to proceed, sparking a bevy of anger on the left. David Ellison, the CEO of Paramount Skydance, and his billionaire father Larry Ellison are seen as allies of President Donald Trump, who supported their takeover of CBS News and has called for change at CNN.

While CNN is bad, Fox is not much better off:

The Dominion Voting Settlement: They paid nearly 800 million dollars in 2023 because hosts kept pushing fake claims about election machines rigging the vote even though texts showed they knew it was untrue

The Smartmatic Lawsuit: They are fighting another multi billion dollar defamation suit for the exact same false election claims

The Seth Rich Story: They published a wild conspiracy theory in 2017 trying to blame a murdered DNC staffer for email leaks, and they had to yank the story a week later after a massive backlash and lawsuit from the family

Silly On Air Blunders: They accidentally put a picture of Patti LaBelle up when Aretha Franklin passed away and even broadcasted a map once that labeled part of Michigan as Canada
