Stephen Colbert earned his comedic bona fides by sending up the rich and powerful, perhaps most famously eviscerating the press to their faces from the lectern at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2006. But now, as Colbert’s knee-jerk impulse to defend Joe Biden and Democrats becomes more evident every day, the once-great comedic mind has been reduced to yet another sh*tlib protecting his preferred wing of the oligarchy.
