Here we go again. Yet another Democrat-run city blaming guns for gun-related crimes.
This example is somewhat curious given that police records in this city show an overall decrease in so-called “gun violence” every year from 2008 through 2021, including a 40-percent decrease in non-fatal shootings in the first half of 2022 compared to 2021. Nonetheless, the city of Buffalo, New York, has filed a “first of its kind” lawsuit targeting firearms manufacturers for “gun crimes” — despite New York’s strict gun control regime.
As reported by Fox News, Mayor Byron Brown on Tuesday announced that the wide-ranging lawsuit would be filed against “manufacturers, distributors, and other local gun shops.” Major manufacturers, including Beretta, Smith & Wesson, Bushmaster, Glock, and Remington, are named as defendants in the suit, as well as ghost gun retailers Polymer 80 and Arm or Ally.
Bottom line: This is a “junk lawsuit” that will fail miserably — whether in the lower courts or under later appeal.

Members of our community have suffered too much and for too long from gun violence. We must do everything we can to decrease gun violence. Enabling the possession of illegal guns destroys lives and deeply effects [sic] our neighborhoods, especially in Black and Brown communities.
