Barr is told Mueller’s team has concerns about his letter. Barr contacts Mueller and asks him if his letter was inaccurate. Mueller says “no”. Barr is asked by Congress if he was aware of the concerns Mueller’s team had about his letter. Barr testifies that he was not aware of the specific concerns Mueller’s team had (because Mueller could give him no specific concerns), and offered that they may have been frustrated that the letter didn’t cover more of the report’s findings rather than simply stating its conclusion.
Congress throws a hissy fit and claims Barr was being untruthful.
And the context of all this is happening long AFTER the entirety of the report has been publicly released and everyone can see for themselves whether Barr’s letter was a misrepresentation of the report’s findings.
Clown. World.
