The governor of Florida has ordered all Flock cameras removed from state roads
Florida is the first state to do this.
TAMPA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has ordered that automated license plate readers, including Flock cameras, be removed from state roads.
FDOT issued a memorandum Monday directing local law enforcement agencies to remove all license plate readers (LPRs) from state highway rights-of-way within 30 days, a deadline of Sept. 30, 2026.
