In the 1993 movie “A Bronx Tale,” Chazz Palminteri’s gangster reiterates, “Nobody cares.”
Almost a quarter-century later, that quote is apropos in American politics, as nobody — except desperate Democrats — cares about former special counsel Robert Mueller‘s fruitless Russian investigation.
The proof is in CNN’s pudding from a poll in mid-March, as registered voters were asked to list what subject was most important to them heading into the 2020 presidential election. As the network’s graphic shows in a tweet courtesy of “New Day,” the number of participants who chose the Russian probe amounted to none — or “nikto,” as Vladimir Putin would say.
A recent CNN poll asked respondents to describe one issue that would be the most important to them for their 2020 vote.

As that revealing poll indicates, many who chimed in — some of whom would rather inhabit Siberia during winter than vote for Donald Trump — can’t be bothered hearing about the collusion delusion anymore.
That hasn’t stopped the mainstream media and leftist lawmakers from trotting out stale Russian rhetoric and coaxing Mueller out of his stony silence again. Tone-deaf New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler, who chairs the House Committee on the Judiciary, is licking his chops over Mueller’s hearing slated for Wednesday.
It’s no secret that conscientious Americans are concerned about pressing, pertinent topics such as immigration, sustaining our roaring economy and health care.
