TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) — According to Florida State University Police, FDLE executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Hayden Drive when a male suspect jumped from a second story window. Police tell us the suspect then ran in the direction of Stadium Drive on foot.

Lt. John Baker of FSUPD tells us that is why the first alert was sent out in the first place.

When FDLE was inside the apartment in question, they did find a firearm. Officers do not know if the suspect who jumped out of the window has a firearm on him. FSUPD wanted to be safe, so they included that the suspect is potentially armed and could be heading toward Stadium Drive.

The suspect is still at large, but FSUPD says the situation is “under control.” The suspect is said to be wearing shorts with no shirt.

This is a developing situation, and WCTV has crews on the campus working to learn more information.
