Protests started mid-September over school conditions. 700+ secondary schools hit. ~5,000 arrests by early October. Fox News Digital 9 October listed the groups. Only 15 student or youth. The other 35: CGT, Force Ouvrière and other unions, communist and socialist organizations, La France Insoumise, French Communist Party, civil-rights groups, pro-Palestinian activists. BreakThrough News and related outlets tied to Neville Roy Singham running the coverage. Singham is the American-born tech figure now based in Shanghai who has funded left media and organizing projects in the U.S., including the People’s Forum. BreakThrough News has called the actions a historic strike against austerity. Fox does not show him funding the French protests or directing the violence. Next action day set for 13 October. Macron government calls the disorder a hard-left orchestrated crisis.
