The CIA and the Liberals must be so proud of themselves today, as General Flynn resigned from President Trump’s Team. He will no longer be there to protect the American people with his honesty and to advise President Trump, as he is going to need it. This is just the beginning of the attacks on Trump’s Team.
Mark Levine a prominent Conservative radio host had this to say about the Flynn situation: The left is attacking Gen Michael Flynn over unproven allegations that he discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador before President Trump took office. The media and the Left is going to use leaks from the Obama administration hold-overs to smear every one of Trump’s staffers and confidants.

Byron York, a very well known writer and news commentator tweeted the following:

?I consider Mark Levine and Byron York to be very reputable sources, and I agree with them in what they are saying about General Flynn. General Flynn made a tweet sometime back that I saved, as I was so impressed with the fact he knew things that troubled the American people. I knew then we had someone on our side.

Reuters is tweeting this morning:
BREAKING: Trump's national security adviser Michael Flynn and Russian ambassador to Washington did not discuss lifting sanctions – Kremlin
— Reuters Top News (@Reuters) February 13, 2017
The new U.S. administration is under pressure over Russia however because Michael Flynn, Trump’s national security adviser, is struggling to get past a controversy over a call he had with the Russian ambassador to the United States Sergei Kislyak before Trump took office.Top White House officials have been reviewing over the weekend Flynn’s contacts and whether he discussed the possibility of lifting U.S. sanctions on Russia once Trump took office, which could potentially be in violation of a law banning private citizens from engaging in foreign policy.
When asked about it on Monday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told a conference call with reporters that Flynn and Kislyak had not discussed lifting sanctions on Moscow.
“Obviously every ambassador informs the centre (Moscow) about all the contacts he has so the information gets to us, but we are not willing to comment on internal discussions being held in Washington,” Peskov said.
Asked if there had been talks between any Russian and U.S. representatives on easing sanctions, Peskov said: “We have already said there have not been any (such talks)”.
I think the day will come when the truth will simply be buried by those who seek to destroy this Country, but I am going to try and tell it here for General Mike Flynn. Flynn is the one senior US intelligence officer with the guts to blow the whistle on a series of catastrophic intelligence and operational failures. The facts point to the conclusion that elements of the humiliated intelligence community is trying to gain vengeance against a patriotic officer.
Gen. Flynn is the hardest of hardliners with respect to Russia within the Trump camp. In his 2016 book Field of Fight, Flynn warned of “an international alliance of evil movements and countries that is working to destroy us….The war is on. We face a working coalition that extends from North Korea and China to Russia, Iran, Syria, Syria, Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela and Nicaragua.” The unsubstantiated allegation that he presides over a “leaky” National Security Council tilting towards Russia makes no sense. The only leaks are politically motivated reports coming from the intelligence community designed to disrupt the normal workings of a democratic government–something that should raise serious Constitutional issues. But the Constitution is not respected within many key Liberal governmental components in Washington.
Politico reports: “On Friday, one of Flynn’s closest deputies on the NSC, senior director for Africa Robin Townley, was informed that the Central Intelligence Agency had rejected his request for an elite security clearance required for service on the NSC, according to two people with direct knowledge of the situation.” Townley held precisely the same security clearance at the Department of Defense for seventeen years, yet he was blackballed without explanation. At DoD, Townley had a stellar reputation as a Middle East and Africa expert, and the denial of his clearance is hard to explain except as bureaucratic backstabbing.
Now they are accusing Flynn of violating the Logan Act! This allegation of various Democrats that Flynn violated the 1799 Logan Act is silly. No-one ever has been prosecuted under the Logan Act. It forbids US citizens from communicating with foreign governments “with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States.” Flynn was a man speaking with a friend about better relations between his Country and his friend’s Country. That is basically the general comments the NSA picked up. Senior officials speak to their counterparts in other countries all the time, and for obvious reasons do not want these conversations to become public. The intelligence community, though, was taping Flynn’s discussions, and Flynn is not going to set himself up…he is no fool.
However, General Flynn had infuriated the CIA a number of times. At one time Flynn blew the whistle on CIA incompetence in Syria. Flynn’s Defense Intelligence Agency produced a now notorious 2012 report warning that chaos in Syria’s civil war enabled the rise of a new Caliphate movement, namely ISIS. Flynn humiliated the bungling CIA and exposed the incompetence and deception of the Obama Administration, and got fired for it. Most of us know now he was completely correct in his conclusions. Can you understand why “they” wanted rid of General Flynn? “They” got what they wanted, but the Devil will not win forever! It is imperative that President Trump aware of how Flynn has been set up, because I have a feeling there is more to come. I wish the best for General Flynn, because he has served his Country well. The last thing I want to say is I pray that Trump does not hire David Petraeus, because he is a Hillary and Obama ally. That is going to add fuel to the fire that is burning inside the White House.
