Gov. Andrew Cuo­mo “can no longer serve as gov­er­nor” fol­low­ing the lat­est bomb­shell accu­sa­tion that he reached under the blouse of a female aide and groped her while they were alone in the exec­u­tive man­sion, May­or Bill de Bla­sio said Thursday.

“It’s deeply trou­bling. The spe­cif­ic alle­ga­tion that the gov­er­nor called an employ­ee of his — some­one who he had pow­er over — called them to a pri­vate place and then sex­u­al­ly assault­ed her, is absolute­ly unac­cept­able. It is dis­gust­ing to me,” the may­or said dur­ing his dai­ly press COVID-19 briefing.
