House Majority Whip Steve Scalise is fighting an infection and is back in Intensive Care at the MedStar Washington Hospital. Five people were injured last month when a gunman opened fire at a park in Alexandria, Virginia, and Scalise was the most seriously wounded. Shooter James T. Hodgkinson, who was killed by police, had been arrested for domestic battery and criminal charges against his foster children. He was reportedly anti-Trump and the Republican Party.
That does not matter at all to the WASHINGTON POST, as they could care less about the truth. If we did not know before, we know now they are definitely fake news.
While a good man, who was fighting human trafficking, is laying in the hospital now fighting for his life, the WASHINGTON POST is reporting the man who shot him was triggered by a right-wing Illinois shock jock. This abusive foster father and Bernie Sanders’ volunteer targeted Republicans during a baseball practice, but the Democrats are not willing to admit it.
On top of that, the FBI is covering up all the factual evidence against the man. For example, he had a hit list in his pocket of Republicans he wanted to kill. The FBI denies this. Second of all, another Republican Representative was watching the practice when the shooter came up to him and asked if it were Democrats or Republicans on the field. The FBI has chosen to ignore that, too.
The lengthy piece takes aim at the radio host, Bob Romanik, who broadcasts from his studio in Belleville, Ill, the shooter James Hodgkinson’s hometown. I guess the Democrats are doing what they do best: pass the buck and blame someone for their own evil deeds.
“What’s the point of this?” Buzz Feed political reporter Katherine Miller asked on Twitter. “The shooter hated Trump and there’s no indication in the story he listened to this pro-Trump host.”
The WASHINGTON POST tweeted the following:
In Alexandria shooter’s home town, rage-filled radio host channels middle America’s inner frustration t.co/dTHkhjosDN

Miller tweeted this:

Following those two tweets, a twitter war erupted with the following comments:
Washington Examiner political correspondent and Fox News contributor Byron York tweeted, “Revision of the year: WP suggests, without evidence, Alexandria shooter was inspired by right-wing bigoted radio talker.”
“Devoted Bernie supporter shoots up baseball field of Republicans. Washington Post blames pro Trump talk radio in his hometown for it,” Heat Street contributor Stephen Miller said in a tweet.
The POST article pointed out Hodgkinson “shot four people at a congressional baseball practice” in Virginia, but it never got around to identifying the victims. It sounds to me THE POST is trying to hide the fact it was Repubicans that were shot by an insane Democrat.

Here is the article in part:
The suburban community about 20 miles east of St. Louis drew attention in recent weeks because it was the hometown of James T. Hodgkinson, the out-of-work politically frustrated home inspector who up and left, drove a van to the Washington area, and then shot four people at a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria.
The nation was shocked, but Romanik — who seems to delight in launching savage attacks on local politicians and stoking his listeners’ many frustrations about race, crime and government — certainly wasn’t. Despite being a die-hard supporter of President Trump who has perfected the art of the dire populist message, many of Romanik’s biggest fans in southern Illinois are disgruntled Democrats like Hodgkinson.
Of course, they just had to mention this evil Republican talk show host was a die-hard supporter of President Trump. Basically they are making excuses for the shooter, and that is a low that is even hard to imagine the WASHINGTON POST would stoop to.

(1) Find inflammatory local radio host.
(2) Find people who listen to him.
(3) Say shooter could maybe have been a listener.
