I guess conflicts of interest are ethically acceptable when you’re (D)ifferent…

FAUCI just stated all you need to know in one sentence. And to be quite honest, if a government employee, that receives money from taxpayers, receives royalties from a company that has a contract with the government, then yes, the people need to know.

In fact, I’d go one step further… I don’t believe any federal employees should have a so-called private life. Your entire financial portfolio should be readily available to anyone who wishes to view it. You are receiving taxpayer money. You are no longer a private citizen. I would go so far as welfare. If you receive money from the government, which makes no money on its own, your life should be open to any taxpayer to see where his/her money is being spent.
