Unlike Trump and DeSantis, Hawley is a plausible phony populist.
He seems to be trying to develop a worldview, rather than making it up as he goes along.
Anyone who articulates secular nationalism on culture, even if only “implicitly” white, along with workerism on economics, will steamroll their opposition in an election.

I don’t think Trump is serious about being president again, he is just playing cat and mouse with the feds.
The only thing that could get people excited for Trump again is if the DoJ and FBI arrest him and the whole campaign is “Trump vs The Man,” which will inevitably end up hurting the FBI and federal government’s credibility even further.
