I live alone and have two dogs. I intermittent fast and only eat once a day. Compared to your average person I eat less than most. I keep a spreadsheet monthly to track my bills and spending. In the last two months my costs for daily living have gone up 20%. This 7.5% inflation in the US is bullshit. A weeks worth of food is now $120, it costs me $70 to fill my car with premium ( 16 gallons ). Dog food has gone up $20 a bag. A steak is $20 at the grocery store. My barber doubled their prices. This is insane. I make more than average and feel like I’m drowning. I don’t live an extravagant life either. Small one bedroom apartment in a nice area, home most nights, I don’t go out and blow money. This is insane. The average home price in my area is almost $700,000. Seriously considering buying a mobile home and living my best trailer park life at this point. Just needed to rant.
