Liberal friend is upset that the the world around him doesn’t come to a halt because there’s a conflict in another country, doesn’t understand why he still has to go to work.

Tonight I was in Discord with a friend of mine who leans pretty far left but we often find common ground to agree on. But tonight he surprised me a bit by saying he thought it was stupid that he still had to work because Russia was invading Ukraine.

“I don’t understand why you’re not more upset about this.”

Probably the most snowflake thing I’ve ever heard. I asked if he was going to call in sick to work tomorrow because of the invasion in Ukraine. He said no. I told him the rest of the world doesn’t come to a screeching halt because there’s a conflict in another country.

“Well, I think it should….”

I don’t know what to say anymore, guys. The victim mentality is strong.
