Mark Zuckerberg Alarmingly On His Way to Leading More Than Just The Technology World: Facebook CEO Appears to Be After US Presidency

by Amna El Tawil

Mark Zuckerberg founded the most popular social media website, but he doesn’t plan on limiting himself on Silicon Valley and the internet only. Rumors are circulating that Zuckerberg will make a presidential bid, too.
Despite the fact that founder of Facebook didn’t say anything about this plan just yet, this year’s personal challenge he chose, gave a rise to the speculations.

What about his personal challenges? Like all other people on this planet, Zuckerberg has some New Year’s resolutions i.e. personal challenges he wants to accomplish during the year. Some past challenges included learning Mandarin or building an AI for his home.

This year, he plans to meet people from all 50 states and for some people, that move is perceived as testing the waters to see how people react to him. His personal challenge made some people think he’s going to enter the politics soon.

That’s not all, Facebook founder also hired Obama’s former campaign manager, David Plouffe, to lead the Chan – Zuckerberg initiative, a philanthropic organization. Tech Times reports that he also hired Ken Mehlman, a former campaign manager for George W. Bush, to become one of the board members of the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative. Zuckerberg’s decision to hire from both sides of the political spectrum has been interesting.

It is needless to mention that a Facebook proxy statement articulated that Zuckerberg can run for office and still maintain control of his company. The proxy statement suggests that Zuckerberg and Facebook’s board came to an agreement on how his shares would be distributed in the event of a death or disability, or if he’s fired from the company. It also includes the rather-interesting provision that allows him to maintain his shares in the event he takes government office.

Of course, these are just subtle hints, and the time will tell whether Zuckerberg plans to run for the president of the United States, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire too.

  1. That is a hilarious thought! I suppose the Silicon Valley minions and leftist uninformed electorate would vote for him. Those who love America & who still possess functioning brain cells will only laugh.

  2. He has the money to fund his own campaign…just like President Trump has.
He will pick up where Hellary and Burnie left off…
He is rumored to be the grandson of David Rockefeller…
    I’ll vote for Trump again!!!
