A knife-wielding casino staffer slashed five people at a luxury California resort, leaving bloodied victims sprawled among the slot machines as paramedics tended to their injuries.
The alleged suspect, who was reportedly still dressed in his kitchen apron when arrested, stabbed five fellow-staffers at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the stabbing was reported around 7 p.m. at the Dos Coyotes Border Cafe inside the casino.
The suspect, a man in his 20s, was taken into custody within minutes of deputies arriving, authorities said.
One victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the four others were treated at the scene by Thunder Valley emergency personnel and Cal Fire, authorities said.
