New Zealand has a much bigger problem with mental health than they do Covid. So by locking people down with military force, and people losing their jobs and businesses…. How many suicides might that accomplish?

But only 26 people, most likely elderly, died from Covid early last year. That hardly seems like a pandemic. That doesn’t even seem like a bad flu season.

Does this look like a pandemic to you?
Only 20% of New Zealanders have been vaccinated for a disease that only killed 26 old people in a year and a half.
If I were there I’d just say “I want Covid. I want to catch it. I’ll get sick, I’ll take a week off work and take care of myself. Then I’ll move on with my normal life.”
That’s how we have always handled colds and flus. Get sick, get over it, move on.
So if I get the Delta variant, I might get a sore throat, runny nose and a headache.
If I get the unapproved vaccine, I could get deadly blood clots.
