Kindergarten = age 5 so that leaves “Roughly 96,000 city students are enrolled in the city’s Pre-K and 3-K programs for 3 and 4-year-olds.”
The picture in the link is beyond fucked up. The children are masked standing in a line outside the entrance to the school and get their forehead temperature tested before they are allowed to enter. Every single morning, 96,000 little kids have to go through this terror.
Notice how there is no awning or tent cover outside the school. So, this occurs when it is cold and/or snowing and also when it is raining.
