• The mayor said his administration has reached out to the White House in order to secure federal money to help the city to deal with an influx of migrants
• Between May and July, New York City saw 3,000 illegal immigrants arrive from mainly Latin America
• Adams has also accused the Republican governors of Texas and Arizona of shipping their migrants to New York
